Have anyone heard about ink saving or ink optimizer?
It can be used to any printer driven by RIP and icc compliant.
it can be inkjet, toner base or in offset.
If the image has more blacks or gray, the more inks is save.
In principle, it is about gcr and UCR or UCA. The difference is the algorithm on saturated colors. it stay saturated.
To those who have a digital presses, you get the most benifit since black toner is cheaper than the colors, colors is more stable because of black generation, for those who are in click charge, no benifit except consistency in colors.
