Patched Prepress Software

I read in the internet that "patched" software are not illegal. Most prepress workflow software are soooo.... expensive. Just recently, I stumbled upon a full download of different workflow and prepress software.

I am a programmer and I have no intention of using them (I know how it feels when your hardwork is stolen from you just like that. Don't bother me asking the link also because it was removed. Besides, I don't have any use for them). I was just curious what are the content of the RAR file.

In your opinion, is it okay to use these software because the ORIGINALS are costly or would your conscience be bothered and buy the original? Assuming of course that the first sentence above is true.

This post is just for the point of discussion.

of course, when it was written in the Internet then it is true for sure, nobody lies in a total anonymous area...
