Looking For Offset Printing Equipment

Hi!

Im looking for a 12x 18in 1 color offset press like ABDick 9810/9820, Ryobi 3200, Hamada E47 or any 90's model. Is there any supplies/dealers of second hand/refurbished units locally can also teach to operate their equipment? Planning to start a printing business and any advice would be highly appreciated.

Nothing against Offset, but you are looking for a size that a digital printer is capable of, so why not digital printer. I have seen a 1 color machine at the recent graphic expo last june. Gakken philippines.

The cost per print is alot cheaper on offset specially above 2,000 copies. I already have a colored laser printer and inkjet printers with bulk system. The laser printer has the print speed and the inkjet has the print cost advantage but both lack the print speed to accommodate print jobs above 1k copies. Ive been outsourcing print jobs from different print houses and now im planning on doing it inhouse.

It will be difficult to say if the estimate is correct or not because I don't know the current condition of the machine. I suggest that you get estimates from other technicians and compare. Getting a second and third opinion is always better. There is a list of technicians at www.philprinting.com. Go to the "Opportunities" section. I personally know all the technicians listed there. Try Bert Vecida, Neo San Juan, Delio Villanueava or Ramon Racasa. If you have any problems, please let me know.

During the early 80's, I used to have 3 Rotaprints (2-R95/3R's and 1 R30/90). They were really good machines- small, easy to operate and capable of full color printing. These days, I don't see any Rotaprints, especially in Metro Manila. I don't think dealers import Rotaprints either.

Other substitutes for Rotraprint would be Fuji 50 or 58, Kobundo Grampus 50 or 58, Heidelberg KOR and Hashimoto B-3. These machines are small sized (14 x 20 to 15 x 21), heavy duty and full color capable.
