I left the Pre-press (service bureau CTF) 8 years ago. Leaving the problems of people giving you the files in RGB, uncalibrated monitor, which cmyk to use and people calling theirself "graphic Artist" entering the pre-press and press without the knowledge of technicalities. I went to the arena of digital press toner base and inkjet base para maiba naman marami na akong puting buhok.
Now I am back in the CTP age, I still encountered the same problems.
These people who call themselves "graphic Artist" does not want to use cmyk.
They just want to do what they want to do. Worst, they insist what they know.
They want you to match what they call proof which printed on a desktop printer.
Is there a move or plan from the organization like PPTF and PIAP to connect the gap between the school teaching graphic softwares and the printing industry?
Pardon my post if i have offended someone but I have no intention to offend.
