Thank you for your inquiry, I assume this is the first time you will import, so I suggest you do:

Most suppliers abroad have local representative here. Make a background check of the supplier you re dealing with. Please deal with authorized re-seller only.

Operation of the printing machine is being controlled by technology available today like microprocessors, PLCs, SERVOs, PLCs, and other electronic components. Having said this, your production and profit will be contingent on the maintenance of your equipment- cost of repairs, replacement and availability of these electronic components.

Inquire about the year of manufacture, and the available documents that should go along with the equipment. The document that I’m referring to are:
a. Equipment service record- this will help you understand the condition of your equipment, the previous repair job undertaken, and the parts that have been previously replaced.
b. Technical manual
c. Operations Manual
d. Service Manual- this contain the Terminal diagrams. Having these diagrams will make repairs and maintenance a lot easier and cheaper for you.

Inquire about the Electronic components (hardware) if:
a. They are still being manufactured. If so, inquire about the program compatibility if they are compatible with OS like XP, WIN 7 and the like.
b. If the hardware have been DISCONTINUED for manufacture, inquire if upgrades have already been made to the equipment and the installed components are the latest available in the market.
c. Inquire if the warranty can be passed on to the local representative.

Thank you po Sir Dan sa reply. Ang problema po when we inquired about the said documents, yun po supplier ay wala po maibibigay na machine equipment record at technical service manual.

Ang assurance naman po nila, they have a local distributor in Phils., we can always go daw po and have our machine checked maski na outdated na yun mga Electronic Boards nila.

Sir, do you think we will not have any problem with this in the maintenance of our machines? Ano po ba yun program compatibility na sinasabi ninyo?

1. Sorry for the late reply. Nakabili na ba kayo ng Machine ninyo?
2. In the absence of the service manual and/or terminal diagram, you will find it difficult to get a third party service shop to have your machine repaired or periodically maintained.
3. Your selection of third party repair company will be trimmed down to those equipped with an On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) or those with extensive background or experience with the machine.
4. Compatibility issue might also cause an inconvenience if the amplifier/ servo/ spindle drives of your motors are already outdated or have been discontinued for manufacture.
