I'm not sure whether this topic falls under this section. Long time ago, may Junior and Senior Operator na naririnig ako.

Hi Rempress!

In 1991, a Trade Testing and Certification Board for the Printing Industry was created. It was composed of the Philippine Printing Technical Foundation (PPTF), The Printing Industries Association of the Philippines (PIAP) and the National Manpower Youth Council (NMYC, now TESDA). The objective of the project was to test workers in different positions in the industry and certify them according to their skill level. The board was able to go as far as conducting the first ever trade test for film compositors or strippers. However, due to the usual misunderstandings between PPTF and PIAP, the project did not prosper after that.

Personally, I am pessimistic about the future prospects of ever having a certification body for the Philippine Printing Industry. The lingering animosity between PIAP and PPTF will always be a stumbling block to major developments in manpower training and upgrading in the industry. Crying or Very sad

Hi sir presstech. Can't we set up our own training, testing and certification group? Aren't we in a better position to do it ourselves?

What do you think?

The reason why I am pessimistic is because I was the chairman of that first Trade Testing and Certification Board. I had so much hope in it; but was so disappointed when it failed. Maybe we can discuss the possibilities; but let's not be too optimistic.

Correct! Why not dissolve PIAP and PPTF? As long as these two organizations acts like "dogs and cats" we will not see the other end of the rainbow.

Asan na ba yung "Like" button dito. Teka, di pala to FB. Very Happy

Pero as of now....wala rin syang saysay. PPTF needs mavericks. They need visionaries.
