Sobra ka naman. Di naman patay. Nasa ICU pa lang. Very Happy

Seriously, madaming magaganap itong darating na 10 years. Ang future ng dyaryo for example, papuntang Printcasting na where for a small fee news is delivered sa mga mobile phones or iPads.

Good day po. i am a new member po, im not an owner of a printing company but i've been in the industry for 12 years. actually sa company i am the one na pinapadala nila sa mga general meetings specially sa PIAP. Sad to say nga po parang hindi na ganon kataas ang sales this days sa printing industry. Medyo ok pa nman pero unlike sa sales 5 years ago eh talgang bumaba...

You're right sir. Some of my printer friends in the US and UK are closing shops, some are cutting working hours and staff...

Halos wala nang nagdidisplay ng mga offset machines from heidelberg and komori except yung mga small offset machines from india and china. Kadalasan mga digital machines na ang bida sa mga print exhibit dito and like canon, kodak(ideal mktg), konica minolta, etc.. The trend kasi is towards digital printing na. Buti na lang im into this type of printing na that deals mostly with check printing and other security printing products that deals with variable data printing. So most of the time i interact with these sales people na at hindi na sa mga offset machines but we still do have a lot of offset sheetfed/web machines.

Good day po sa lahat... to be honest I am one of those who believe that offset printing is dying... sorry guys for being pessimist... I have reasons to believe so... why?... book printing will no longer in demand because may mga ebook na... newspaper mawawala na rin dahil sa internet at dahil mauubusan na tayo ng puno sa paggawa ng papel... label printing is towards flexo na rin dahil sa mas mura ang material at mas productive bukod doon sa yun ang requirements ng maraming end-users. I used to have my own printshop but after 11 years of operation I realized the market is not getting any better. So, I closed down and went abroad. And I told myself I will never go back to printing business again maliban lang kung flexo printing... yun lang po... sana di madiscourage ang nagsisimula pa lang Very Happy

When I went to Dubai a couple of months back to attend a seminar on cross-media publishing napag usapan nga kung saan patungo ang printing.

And we don't have to wait for 10 years para maramdaman ang paghina ng offset printing sa Pinas dahil ngayon pa lang ramdam na. Siguro, it's safe to say na offset printing had reached its 100% potential. For the last 10 to 20 years wala halos innovation ang mga leading offset machine manufacturers.

This forum looks like a ghost town already..

kamusta po sa lahat!?

BTW, Sir LarrySison;

To start flexo or gravure printing business, larger investment is needed compared to offset. Learning curve is longer and resources are scarce.

Flexo and gravure clients require volume and printers are not competing on price unlike in offset.

There are few flexo and gravure printers but customers are steady multinational commercial consumers.

Offset printing is not fading out but short run digital prints are cheaper. It it is so, Heidelberg could have not dumped the Nexpress.

In-short, i am into research now. if you want, you can call me and we can talk and discuss other opportunity you would like to explore in digital press printing. to invest in millions of peso for digital press is a big decision, not to accept small runs, you lost opportunities also. Naglibotlibopt na ako kung sino ang may mga intalled digital press like FX,KM,OCE,Canon. click charges is a concern, but service is more critical. 1.6Mil peso investment cant print a 35 pcs A3 consistently. I am not endorsing any brand. but I have some data that would help you decide if you want to go to digital press. Sa ngayon, I am working on how many pcs of lettersize or A4, before you would run it to offset, @ 80 gsm. you can pm you qoutation if you want confidentiality. or PM me for more details.

In addition po: pati mga controllers at CMS is included in my research.
